The Challenge:
How can we fundraise for our Indigenous community project?
The Clients:
Ginawaydaganuc Village
The New Business
Our Role:
Production company
Our Solution:
We created a 3 minute long video featuring interviews with community members including Elders and Youth members. We combined natural interviews with scripted calls-to-action and the appeals to ensure clarity of messaging when we make the 'ask' - the key element in fundraising videos for nonprofits.
We also created five 30 second videos with direct appeals to the viewer.
Filming took place across the Ottawa region. Most scenes were filmed in Almonte (ON) and Gatineau (QC) as well as Thurso (QC).
The Results:
The result is a video that embraces the diverse history and culture of the Indigenous community members that will benefit from the Village project, as well as integrating an appeal and direct call-to-action for viewers. The video will be used in targeted campaigns at individuals and agencies that have the capacity to fund projects like this.
